Roquan Smith has car broken into; items stolen include Bears iPad, Georgia national championship jersey and helmet

Roquan Smith has his 2018 BMW X5 broken into over the weekend in Georgia, and among the items stolen from his car were an iPad belonging to the Bears, jerseys from the Rose Bowl and National Championship, and his regular-season Georgia helmet.

Smith, who the Bears selected No. 8 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft, told Athens-Clarke County police he believed the items were stolen between Friday evening and Saturday morning. Smith's car was parked outside The Mark Athens apartment complex just off the University of Georgia campus.

The department's public information officer told Chicago Tribune reporter Phil Thompson that there were no signs of forced entry and that there are no suspects.
