The Chicago Bears have added free agent offensive lineman Tom Compton to the mix according to the Chicago Sun Times. The 27 year old Compton is entering his 6th year in the NFL. He was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the 6th round of the 2012 NFL Draft, and he played in Washington for four years making 11 starts. He was a backup with the NFC Champion Atlanta Falcons last season, appearing in all 16 games.
The 6’5”, 308 pound Compton, will probably compete for the swing tackle job, although he has played some guard in the past.
