Rams quarterback Matt Stafford, the leading candidate for MVP this season, will play through a sprained index finger on his throwing hand when he visits the Bears on Sunday for a divisional-round playoff game.

Coach Sean McVay said Stafford is “as tough as it gets and will be good to go” against the Bears. He doesn’t expect him to wear any protective gear.

Stafford hit his hand on a player’s helmet on a pass in the first half of the Rams’ 34-31 win over the Panthers in the wild-card round Saturday.
