Portzline: Sonny Milano could be growing into Sam Gagner's role with Blue Jackets

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Blue Jackets aren't quite sure what to do with Sonny Milano, where to play him in a lineup that is trying to figure out lines and find a balance between their newly-acquired skill and their long-time work ethic.

Milano started Tuesday's game on the fourth line, despite having scored goals in each of the Jackets' first two games. He ended the game getting mobbed by teammates in one end of half-filled PNC Arena after scoring an OT game-winner — his second goal of the night — with 30 seconds remaining.

Get a load of this: Milano is the first Blue Jackets' rookie to score in each of the club's first three games, and he's the first player in franchise history to have scored four goals in the first three games, per the Elias Sports Bureau.
