In a time of political correctness and platitudes intended to avoid inciting one’s enemies, Bears linebacker Pernell McPhee sent a message that might have been meant for his teammates as much as New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, the target of the Bears’ pass rush next Sunday:
“We’re going to tear his ass up,” McPhee said, scoffing at the fact that Manning is among the most difficult NFL quarterbacks to sack (12 times in 362 pass plays). “I don’t care what everybody else (does). We’re going to sack him. He could throw the ball out anytime he wants.
