BOURBONNAIS, Ill. — Mitch Trubisky’s physical skills have, if the early part of training camp is any indication, seamlessly transferred to the NFL level. His arm strength, touch, ball placement, mobility and instincts — that made him a No. 2 pick — have all been apparent as the Bears work through practices at Olivet Nazarene University.
On Friday, Trubisky dropped a flawless long ball into the waiting hands of receiver Deonte Thompson (who dropped it, but it was still an impressive throw nonetheless). Earlier in the week, Trubisky rolled to his right and, while on the run, kept his eyes downfield and fired a gorgeous pass to tight end Ben Braunecker for a completion.
