Mario Edwards suspended 2 games

Per multiple reports, the NFL has suspended defensive lineman Mario Edwards Jr. for two games for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Edwards, a six-year veteran, recently wrapped up his first season with the Chicago Bears, and he’s slated to be a free agent in 2021. In 2020 he racked up 17 tackles, 4 sacks, 6 tackles for loss, 7 QB hits, and a pass defensed in 15 games for the Bears.

If he signs with a team this year he’ll be allowed to participate in the full offseason program, but he’ll have to sit out the first two games.
