Bears running back Kyle Monangai returned to practice on a limited basis Friday for the first time since injuring his toe and thumb in a Week 4 win over the Jets.
The second-year pro, who has missed the last four games, is listed as questionable for Sunday night's home contest against the Buccaneers.
Speaking to reporters before Friday's practice, coach Ben Johnson said that Monangai was "getting better."
"Each injury is a little bit different," Johnson added, "and you try to get a timeline, an approximation of what you think it could be, and some guys come back a little bit sooner, some guys take a little bit longer.
