Bears defensive lineman Shemar Turner, one of the team’s three second-round picks this season, tore his ACL on Sunday and will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.
Turner did not play until Week 3 after dealing with a foot injury during training camp but provided a boost to the Bears’ run defense in recent weeks. Coming out of the Week 5 bye, the Bears moved him from tackle to end and were pleased by the results.
The Bears will promote Austin Booker, who had four preseason sacks before hurting his knee, from injured reserve.
