Before introducing Kevin Warren as the Bears’ new president, chairman George McCaskey hailed retiring president Ted Phillips for his loyal service to the organization and a job well done.
“Our family is indebted to Ted for all he has done for us and for the Bears,” McCaskey said. “He was the first non-family member to hold the title of president and CEO of the Bears, but he is as close to family as one can get.
