John Fox calls player suspensions 'pretty common' around NFL

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Head coach John Fox reiterated on Friday that players are, ‘responsible for anything they put in their body,’ after a pair of Bears’ got suspended this week for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.

“There’s an education process there,” Fox said. “They’re very well-educated. They understand. They’ve been preached to. They’re responsible for anything they put in their body.”

In a span of just three days, the NFL suspended Bears’ rookie offensive tackle Tayo Fabuluje and second-year defensive end Ego Ferguson four games without pay for ingesting banned substances.
