When Javon Wims stepped on the field in the preseason, Chicago Bears fans began to drool. Wims showed excellent hands and great size and fans could see why Ryan Pace didn’t let Wims get past him in the seventh round.
Prior to the preseason, there was a lot of talk that perhaps Wims would end up getting stashed on the practice squad, but with such a strong preseason performance, the Bears didn’t want to take any chances of losing him in the waiver process and Wims made the 53-man roster.
Wims enters 2019 in a unique situation.
