On a night where emotions ran wild and felt like the ultimate roller coaster, newly-signed Chicago Bears kicker Jake Moody was called upon to be cool, calm and collected under immense pressure.
Moody had been signed just days ago and brought up from the Bears' practice squad as starting kicker Cairo Santos was inactive due to a thigh injury. In the waning seconds of the Monday Night Football clash with the Washington Commanders, Moody had all the pressure squarely on his shoulders.
And, he delivered. The Bears won off the leg of Moody as time expired, avenging last year's loss to the Commanders and winning their third game in a row.
