Life without football was difficult at first for Thomas Jones, but the former Bears running back has since pursued a career in acting and now finds himself starring in one of the hottest movies of the summer.
Jones, 36, plays the role of a bodyguard for Marion 'Suge' Knight in the new film 'Straight Outta Compton,' which debuted in theaters on Friday.
The Universal film generated $56.1 million over the weekend, setting an August record for an R-rated film.
Earlier this summer, Jones headlined the movie 'Runaway Island' playing the role of Raphael Burrows.
