The Bears fell to the Saints 26-23 in overtime, dropping to 5-3. They blew an early 10-point lead, then scrambled for 10 points in the fourth quarter to tie it, but the Saints took the game on Will Lutz’ 35-yard field goal with 1:40 left.
Their sputtering offense showed some sparks in the first half, but fell flat in the second until a late surge. After posting a 112.5 passer rating at halftime, Bears quarterback Nick Foles threw an interception in the middle of the third quarter and was unable to punch back as Drew Brees pulled the Saints ahead.
