David Montgomery left practice with an injury

The Chicago Tribune’s Dan Wiederer confirmed via Twitter that earlier today Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery left practice with an injury.

At this point there aren’t ant specifics, but Weiderer wrote that it “looked like a significant injury.”

Initial speculation was that it could be a knee, but SiriusXM’s Adam Caplan was told the injury wasn’t to his knee. Once head coach Matt Nagy meets the media we’ll update this article.

The Bears only have three other running backs on the roster, Tarik Cohen, Ryan Nall, and undrafted rookie Artavis Pierce, but they have been working Cordarrelle Patterson in with the tailbacks this offseason.
