The Chicago Bears have signed cornerback Marcus Cooper, formerly of the Arizona Cardinals, to a three year contract. The 27 year old Cooper (6’2”, 192 pounds) was originally a 7th round draft pick of the San Francisco 49ers in 2013. Current Bears’ coaches, Vic Fangio and Ed Donatell, were coaching in San Francisco back then.
Cooper was released in the last wave of cuts as a rookie, and the Kansas City Chiefs claimed him off waivers. He played three years with the Chiefs, before playing last season in Arizona where he had a career year.
