With the Chicago Bears back at practice this week following their bye, they made a move to shore up their 53-man roster by signing offensive lineman Bryan Witzmann. The addition of Witzmann came after they placed outside linebacker Sam Acho on injured reserve with a torn pectoral muscle.
Acho has seen his time on defense decrease with the addition of All-World pas rusher Khalil Mack and a healthy Aaron Lynch, but Acho’s presence will be missed in the third phase. Throughout his time in Chicago he has been a stellar performer on special teams.
