The Chicago Bears have announced offensive lineman Kyle Long as the 2017 Ed Block Courage Award Winner.

Ed Block was the Head Athletic Trainer of the Baltimore Colts from 1954-1977, and his off the field charity work with children was legendary.

These days the Ed Block Courage Award Foundation is “dedicated to supporting the well-being of abused, neglected and at-risk children.”

The Ed Block Courage Award is given each year to the player that best displays professionalism, great strength and dedication and is also a community role model.
