On Monday, the Chicago Bears promoted David Fales to the 53-man roster and waived Jimmy Clausen. Per reports several teams expressed interest in Fales and that prompted the Bears to make a move. Fales has not played a regular season game yet, but he did have a strong performance against the Cleveland Browns in preseason finale. The coming draft will indicate how committed the Bears are to Fales as Jay Cutler‘s backup.
The Bears also terminated the contract of CB Terrance Mitchell.
