Chicago Bears [James Gilbert/For the Times-Union] Hayden Celebrates
The Chicago Bears released their 53-man roster last Tuesday and social media instantly blew up. The overreaction was probably warranted though since the team has yet to put together a roster that can win a playoff game under Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy. As the storm settled though and players were moved to injured reserve, the positional quantities started to at least make more sense.
We saw seven inside linebackers drop to six with Danny Trevathan headed to short-term injured reserve. We saw the cornerback position bounce from four players to six with the corresponding signings of Artie Burns and Marqui Christian as Teven Jenkins also went to short-term injured reserve.
