DECATUR — Chance the Rapper will play a concert in Grant Park in conjunction with the NFL’s season opener at Soldier Field, Bears chairman George McCaskey said Sunday.
Public details were scarce, though McCaskey joked he was unsure if the alligator that kinda-sorta shares the hip-hop star’s name would be in attendance.
“We’ll see if Chance the Snapper is going to show up and make a guest appearance,” McCaskey said.
The South Side rapper has a new album out Friday.
The NFL previously announced a festival at Grant Park on Thursday, Sept. 5, the day the Bears’ kick off their 100th season with the NFL’s first game of the season.
