Carr places Cole Kmet on his NFL All-Rookie team

Derrick Carr thinks Cole Kmet has been the best rookie tight end in the National Football League in 2020.

Carr, the former Houston Texan quarterback (and brother to Raiders quarterback Derrick Carr) chose Kmet to be one of his top offensive rookies in the NFL this week in his weekly column about the top offensive NFL players this week.

In choosing the Barrington, Illinois native Kmet, the first of Chicago’s two second round picks, Carr recognized that the pickings at tight end have been slim league wide.

“Tight end play has been down across the league this season,” writes Carr, “and the rookie class is no exception.
