There was a lot of hope and excitement surrounding Week 18 as Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was closing in on franchise history.
Williams would end up breaking Erik Kramer's franchise record for passing yards in a season, but was 58 yards short of being the first Bears quarterback to pass for over 4,000 yards in one year. All of that didn't matter as the Bears lost to the Detroit Lions 19-16 to close out the season, but still got the number two seed thanks to the Washington Commanders beating the Philadelphia Eagles 24-17.
For the game, Williams completed 20 of 33 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns to one interception.
