Well, if any Chicago Bears fan thought the backup quarterback job was still up for grabs, Tyson Bagent made sure to shut down those conversations in the team's 38-0 shutout win over the Buffalo Bills.
Bears starting quarterback Caleb Williams played the first two drives of the game before head coach Ben Johnson handed the reins to Bagent from late in the first quarter through part of the third quarter. It was an excellent performance for Bagent, who once again demonstrated a clear understanding of what Johnson wants in his offense.
Bagent finished the game, completing 13 of 22 passes for 196 yards and one touchdown.
