Byron Murphy II is a young, emerging interior defensive lineman in the NFL. He was selected 16th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, the same year that quarterback Caleb Williams and wide receiver Rome Odunze joined the Chicago Bears’ organization.
In his second year in the league, he played in all 17 games, recording seven sacks, 62 tackles, and seven tackles for loss. Against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX, he sacked quarterback Drake Maye twice and recovered a fumble in the dominant 29-13 win.
Murphy’s Seahawks are coming off an impressive performance against the Kansas City Chiefs, a 20-3 win that didn't allow quarterback Patrick Mahomes or the offense to reach the red zone even once.
