The Chicago Bears got their first win of the Ben Johnson era, as they easily defeated the Dallas Cowboys 31-14. Credit can be given to the defense for shutting down a CeeDee Lamb-less offense, but Caleb Williams had himself a career game, throwing for four touchdowns in the game. One of those touchdowns came on a trick play dialed up by Johnson.
In the second quarter, Williams handed the ball off to D'Andre Swift, who lateraled it back to the quarterback. Williams then launched a deep pass to rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III, who jogged into the end zone for the touchdown to put them up 14-3.
