Ben Johnson finds the Declan Doyle replacement Bears fans expected at OC

Chicago Bears fans were stunned the moment that Declan Doyle left the team to take the Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator job, but head coach Ben Johnson has found his replacement.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that Johnson is promoting passing game coordinator Press Taylor to be the next offensive coordinator. Taylor played a big role in Bears quarterback Caleb Williams performing well in his first season with the team. He was considered a leading candidate for the offensive coordinator job after just two reported interviews happening.

Coming with Taylor's promotion is a coach with three years of experience as an offensive coordinator with the Jacksonville Jaguars, whose unit finished in the top 15 in points and yards in his first two seasons in the role, 2022 and 2023.
