Bears waive Anthony Rush, protect Tyler Bray

According to Tuesday’s NFL transaction list, the Chicago Bears waived defensive tackle Anthony Rush from their active roster, and they protected practice squad quarterback Tyler Bray.

Rush was signed on November 10 after the Bears suffered some injuries along the defensive line, but he didn’t appear in any games. Hence the reason the accompanying picture of Rush with this article is from his Philadelphia days.

If Rush clears waivers he could be a candidate to join the Bears practice squad.

The protected list is new this season and it prevents another team from signing the players on your practice squad.
