Bears urged to take big swing for superstar running back before deadline

When the Chicago Bears hired Ben Johnson as their head coach this offseason, fans expected an offensive fireworks show that would erase decades of miserable, plodding performances. Following a series of aggressive personnel additions to the unit, there was no doubt that this would transform into one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL.

While there have been encouraging signs from Caleb Williams and his offense, especially in recent weeks, fans haven't seen anything close to what Johnson was able to consistently produce in his time as the Detroit Lions' offensive coordinator.

There are more than a few reasons for the slow start, but a weak rushing attack deserves part of the blame.
