Bears first-round pick Colston Loveland will begin the start of training camp but will likely require a ramp-up period, general manager Ryan Poles said Tuesday.
The same is true for left tackle Braxton Jones, who spent the Bears’ offseason program recovering from ankle surgery. General manager Ryan Poles described both players as being “ready to go.”
Head coach Ben Johnson said that Loveland spent more time inside Halas Hall rehabbing than any other player on the team.
The Bears drafted Loveland 10th overall knowing he would need six months to recover from the shoulder surgery he had in January.
