The Bears drafted UTSA cornerback Zah Frazier with their fifth-round pick Saturday.
He intercepted six passes last year, a Roadrunners record and the second-most in major college football, in his only season as a starter. The 6-2, 186-pounder played varsity basketball throughout high school but switched his attention solely to football in his senior year. He received an offer from Southern Illinois and went to school there for a year, where he redshirted, before transferring to Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College in 2020. He went to UTSA after his stint in junior college and septn two seasons as a backup before starting 10 of 12 games last season.
