After releasing defensive back Jonathon Mincy from practice squad yesterday, the Chicago Bears are adding defensive back John Franklin III to take his place today.
Franklin was a member of the Bears offseason roster and was a part of their final cut-downs on September 1. The 2018 undrafted free agent had a winding road throughout his collegiate career, which started at Florida State University from 2013 to 2014, before landing at East Mississippi Community College for a year. He then attended Auburn University in 2016, and he finally landed at Florida Atlantic University in 2017.
