Bears shuffle front office scouting department

The Chicago Bears promoted longtime scout Mark Sadowski to director of college scouting, the team announced on Wednesday.

Sadowski replaces Joe Douglas, who spent just one year in Chicago before leaving to join the front office of the Philadelphia Eagles.

A highly respected college talent evaluator, Sadowski served as the Bears Southeast area scout from 2005-12. Sadowski’s region of the country netted the Bears return man Devin Hester (2006, second round) and tight end Greg Olsen (2007, first round).

He held the title of senior national scout from 2013-16.
