The Bears will take the field for their playoff game Sunday without two of their best young players.
Inside linebacker Roquan Smith and wide receiver Darnell Mooney were ruled out for the Saints game on Saturday. Neither participated in practice all week but nonetheless we’re called questionable Friday before being downgraded.
Smith hurt his left elbow in the first quarter against the Saints. Mooney injured his ankle in the second half.
Smith was named a second-team all-pro this week.
“He’s not just playing like a good player or a great player … there’s complete domination in the way he’s playing,” coach Matt Nagy said Friday.
