Bears restore Devante Bond to the practice squad

After losing three practice squad players to the Reserve/COVID-19 list the last few days, on Wednesday the Chicago Bears got one back, as linebacker Devante Bond was restored to the practice squad from injured reserve.

Bond, a 4-year veteran with 34 career games played, was injured back on October 8 when he was called up to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was also activated for their week 2 game due to his experience on special teams.

The Bears didn’t need a corresponding practice squad move to make room for Bond, as the three Reserve/COVID-19 players (Thomas Ives, LaCale London, and Manti Te’o) don’t count towards the 16 player limit.
