Bears re-sign Artie Burns

On Friday the Chicago Bears announced that they have re-signed cornerback Artie Burns to a one-year contract.

The soon to be 26-year Burns was originally a first-round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2016, and he played with them until the 2019 season. During his time in Pittsburgh he started 32 of the 58 games he appeared in while making 149 tackles, 4 interceptions, with 27 passes defended. Burns (6’, 197) has experience playing both at nickel and outside corner.

The Bears signed Burns a year ago as a free agent, but a torn ACL during camp robbed him of the entire 2020 season.
