Bears QB Caleb Williams expected to address pre-draft report Wednesday

Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is expected to speak to the media after Wednesday’s practice for the first time since a bombshell report that he wanted to be drafted by the Vikings 13 months ago and even debated, along with his father, the idea of trashing the Bears to force the team’s hand.

The Bears are holding an OTA practice at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Halas Hall. Williams is likely to speak about two hours later.

Williams’ father Carl called Chicago “the place where quarterbacks go to die” and told agents that he didn’t want his son playing for the Bears, according to Seth Wickersham’s “American Kings: A Biography of the Quarterback.
