With less than three weeks until the Bears will begin their practice week for the Sept. 8 season opener against the Vikings, they’re shifting their focus from installing the offense and defense to preparing for specific opponents.
For quarterback Caleb Williams, the upcoming joint practice with the Bills and the preseason game against them will be a dry run for how he’ll work during game weeks. They’ll go through that with him again next week ahead of the preseason finale against the Chiefs. After that, the Bears likely will get an early jump on prepping for the Vikings — that might even happen before final roster cuts Aug.
