After an off day Tuesday, the Bears will practice three days in a row. Perhaps by the end of the week they’ll have even greater clarity at left tackle.
As it is, the Bears’ two left tackles are “starting to separate themselves from each other,” offensive coordinator Declan Doyle said Monday, even though they’re “still very much in a battle” for the starting job.
Braxton Jones, the fourth-year player, started and got 32% of the team’s snaps at left tackle Sunday against the Dolphins. Ozzy Trapilo took his place and played 50% of their snaps.
