For weeks at the beginning of the season, Chicago Bears fans were calling for left tackle Braxton Jones to get replaced with his inconsistent play. They finally got their wish in Canadian second-year lineman Theo Benedet, and that has paid off.
Despite a 62 overall grade from PFF in his first start at left tackle, everyone is convinced Benedet is the starting left tackle for at least the 2025 season. He helped the Bears run for a season-high 145 yards and take down the Washington Commanders 25-24 in Week 6.
Benedet got praised by Bears head coach Ben Johnson for his play, with his quarterback, Caleb Williams, also backing him up.
