Bears linebacker Tremaine Edmunds will return to practice this week, opening a window to return off injured reserve as soon as Saturday’s game against the rival Packers.
Edmunds was put on IR with a groin injury last month and has missed four games, which is the minimum for players on the list. He was hurt in the team’s win against the Vikings in Minnesota, and the Bears went 3-1 in his absence.
As pleased as the Bears have been with backup D’Marco Jackson — he had an interception and a sack in Sunday’s win against the Browns — they’re eager for Edmunds to return.
