Bears linebacker D’Marco Jackson was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday, three days after he intercepted his first career pass and recorded a sack in the 31-3 win against the Browns.
He’s the only NFC player this year to record at least seven tackles, two pass deflections, one sack and one interception in the same game.
The first Bears linebacker to win the award since Danny Trevathan seven years ago, Jackson might not even start Saturday against the Packers. The Bears brought Tremaine Edmunds back to practice this week and could bring him off injured reserve before kickoff Saturday.
