Three Bears players were named to the league’s Pro Bowl Games on Tuesday: center Drew Dalman, guard Joe Thuney and safety Kevin Byard.
The all-star honors reflect the 11-4 Bears’ rise in the NFL world this year. They had only one player elected last season — cornerback Jaylon Johnson.
Tuesday marked Dalman’s first Pro Bowl selection. Thuney has now been picked four times, Byard three.
The Bears signed Dalman and traded for Thuney this offseason in an attempt to shore up their offensive line after quarterback Caleb Williams was sacked the third-most times in the history of the NFL last year.
