Bears' initial depth chart just buried a once-promising draft pick

As teams are releasing their first unofficial depth charts ahead of preseason openers, fans are all about jumping to conclusions. Quite frankly, there are few surprising or bold conclusions you can come to after seeing the Chicago Bears' initial depth chart.

But, one overwhelming takeaway is one that we have been predicting for a while now. Third-year wide receiver Tyler Scott has needed every bit of hope he can get over the last year, but time is now officially running out for the former fourth-round pick.

When glancing at the first edition of Chicago's depth chart before preseason gets underway, you'll notice six wide receivers ahead of Scott: DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, Olamide Zaccheaus, Devin Duvernay, Luther Burden and Miles Boykin.
