The Bears have as many wins this year as they did all last season, but quarterback Caleb Williams isn’t ready to compare the two.
Perhaps that’s a good thing, given how rough last season went.
“It’s just a different year, a different vibe,” he said Wednesday. “I think we’ve done a good job in some of those games that last year we didn’t do a good job in.”
That means winning close games. When coach Ben Johnson came to the Bears, he told them their reputation was that when games were close, the Bears tended to fold.
