Bears rookie cornerback Zah Frazier, a fifth-round pick from Texas-San Antonio, hasn’t practiced for the Bears because of a personal situation, and general manager Ryan Poles said Tuesday he’ll go on the Non-Football Injury list and be out for the season.

Frazier hadn’t been seen at practice until recently, when he was doing some side work with the training staff. He has not actually practiced, even in a limited capacity.

Poles called it “a little bit of a complicated deal,” but spoke positively of the organization’s effort toward Frazier.

“As we dug into it, tried to help him out, it revealed itself as something that happened before he got here,” Poles said.
