Bears defensive tackle Shemar Turner was offered a ride to the team’s backfields from the player exit at Halas Hall before practice Friday.
He declined. He wanted to walk and give himself time to think.
“Just tried to soak it in,” the second-round pick said. “Dream come true, finally getting to do what I’ve been wanting to do for my whole life. … I get to do this every day now until I get ready to stop.”
Now the question becomes, where will he play? Turner worked at defensive end at Texas A&M before moving to defensive tackle before last season.
