Bears DE Dayo Odeyingbo out for the year: report

Bears defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo tore his Achilles tendon Sunday against the Bengals and will miss the rest of the season, per NFL Network.

Odeyingbo’s injury creates an even greater need for pass-rush help leading up to Tuesday afternoon’s trade deadline. The Bears have already lost defensive end Shemar Turner, a second-round rookie, for the year.

The Bears gave Odeyingbo a three-year, $48 million contract to lure him away from the Colts in March. He had one sack, in Week 1. The Bears liked his ability to rush the passer from the inside as well as the edge.
