Bears defensive coordinator Dennis Allen really wanted to discuss anything Thursday but his unit allowing the fifth-most points in franchise history. Coming off a 52-21 loss to the Lions, he strong preferred to look ahead to the game against the Cowboys on Sunday.
Not happening.
A defensive disaster like that can’t go unchecked, and when asked multiple times about allowing 52 points and 511 yards to the Lions, Allen acknowledged there were lapses across the board.
“When you don’t perform well and you lose a game like that, there’s a lot of issues that went on and so there’s a lot of dirty hands,” he said.
